The Avenue Day Nursery took over the nursery in Aldbourne in April 2017, our nursery in Aldbourne, near Marlborough, Wiltshire, is located within an area of outstanding natural beauty. The village of Aldbourne is richly scattered in old and historical buildings and easily leads onto the B4192 and provides access to Swindon under 10 miles away and the A419 and Hungerford under 8 miles away and the A4.
With local visits to the Library, care home and our very own allotment on a weekly basis the children and nursery are very much part of the community. We enjoy weekly visits from outside agencies that provide a wide variety of extra-curricular activities including French, dance and physical literacy.
Being a slightly smaller site then some of our other nurseries our nursery in Aldbourne provides a very homely feel with friendly and welcoming staff providing care within a safe and secure environment. Staff cater for your child’s individual needs by planning activities that are inviting, encouraging them to engage and with support from staff extend all area of their learning. Our Aldbourne site is managed by Samantha Walker who has worked for the company since summer 2017.
The nursery, built across 2002 and 2003 and first opening in July 2003 and caters for children age 3 months to school leaving age within 2 rooms. Discussions around your child moving rooms in the nursery will take place between the child’s key worker and the parents or carers of the child. The below ages are used as a guideline and staff consider many factors when coming together to make this decision with you.
- Buttercups: children aged 3 months to 2 years
- Ferns: children aged 2 years to school leaving
Our nursery is open 51 weeks of the year 8:00am-6:00pm, excluding bank holidays and the week between Christmas and New Year.
Lunches provided onsite during the nursery day are prepared freshly by our Chef at one of our sister sites nearby.
